Parents of young children know the pressures as holiday deadlines loom. Alley Pond Environmental Center (APEC) throws crazy-busy Long Island City families a lifeline a week before Christmas. APEC invites parents a Parents Night Out -- Gift of Time.

Wrap up your shopping or gifts without probing eyes, or enjoy a leisurely meal. Whether you take care of preparations or relationships, the Educators at APEC keep the kiddos busy with:

• Storytime
• Night hikes 
• Winter crafts
• Stem activities
• Nature-themed games, animal encounters

Children 6 or older need a bagged dinner, snacks, & water bottle.

The cost is $45 per child. Masks are required.
