Dry Grass & Leaves, Chance of Fire Increases

Throughout the northeast, we have, for the most part, enjoyed a rather flawless summer so far when it comes to the weather. Some areas have been hotter than others and the occasional thunderstorm has rolled through towns and cities to cause some damage and flash flooding but otherwise, it has been warm and sunny almost every weekend. One concern many home and business owners should be aware of is the increased chance of fire due to dry grass and leaves while we are enjoying these prolonged periods without rain.
Many times a backyard fire, a BBQ, or fireworks can be the cause of the of these types of fires that quickly get out of control and cause damage to property in the immediate area.
The best way to prevent these types of fires is to be aware of flammable dry grass and leaves in the immediate area and to always keep a water source nearby. If you do ever experience damage from a fire contact our offices immediately after your local contacting emergency response.
